RICE AND STEINMEIER ON TIBET CRISIS
I

picked this up from C-SPAN yesterday, but YouTube was acting up and I couldn't upload it.

The German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice were questioned about the Tibet crisis at a joint press briefing on Friday.

It was great that she said the Chinese leadership would be doing itself a great service by meeting with Dalai Lama or his representatives, referring  to the Tibetan leadership as "responsible Tibetan cultural and religious authorities."

Condi's last comment at the end, about "looking forward to the YouTube version of that" has nothing to do with this. I just left it on for fun. She had been asked if she had any advice for him, as he was set to throw out the first pitch at an American baseball game over the weekend.
