A LETTER OF THANKS
T

he mayor of Tall' Afar, Iraq writes a letter to the men and women who liberated his city:
To those who spread smiles on the faces of our children, and gave us restored hope, through their personal sacrifice and brave fighting, and gave new life to the city after hopelessness darkened our days, and stole our confidence in our ability to reestablish our city.
Don't miss reading it all, and the updates (with photo) as well. Interesting that a Washington Post reporter in Iraq had been given a copy of this letter by Mayor Najim personally, but felt it wasn't worth reporting, because he could "read between the lines."
