n this new video taken by Chinese security forces on March 10 or 11 and obtained by the BBC, we see Buddhist monks staging a peaceful sit-down protest in a Lhasa street, when something happens to set off a conflict with the security forces surrounding them. This is the earliest known documentation of Chinese forces in open conflict with Tibetans during the current uprising. The widespread rioting by civilians began four days later.

Our way of saying "thanks" in the Thai way. Here a nak muay Thai (kickboxer) offers respect and thanks for his teacher (wai khru) before a match. This is our local variation on the ubiquitous "hat tip" used in general blog culture.
